The calculators a TD reaches for during a night, the rulebook, and the club's library, backup and machine. Nothing here changes a tournament unless you book or apply it.

Deal calculator

The deal calculator: four stacks, the remaining payouts, chip chop and ICM side by side
Four players left: their stacks, what they still play for, and both ways to split it.
  1. Stacks: every player still in is listed (with the stack counted on the Tables tab, if there is one). Count and type the rest; + PLAYER adds a row.
  2. Remaining payouts: the prizes still to be paid, best first, filled in from tonight's prize list. Adjust them if the players agree on something else.
  3. CALCULATE: the chip chop (every player gets their share of the chips) and ICM (what each stack is worth in the remaining prizes) side by side. ICM is worked out for up to twelve players.
  4. Round: to the cent, to 1 or to 5. Both columns always add up to the pot; a remainder smaller than the step goes to the chip leader, and FeltTD says so.
  5. SHOW CHOP / SHOW ICM ON DISPLAY puts the proposal on the TV until HIDE FROM DISPLAY or F4.
  6. Agreed? BOOK CHOP AS PRIZES or BOOK ICM AS PRIZES writes the deal as manual prizes on the Prizes tab: the largest amount on 1st place and so on down; the places below the deal keep their amounts. Print the payout sheet from there.

Prizes in FeltTD belong to finishing places. When the players stop with a deal, finish the tournament in the order that matches the amounts (the biggest deal amount wins); when they play on for the rest, the places follow by themselves.

Chips bank

The chips bank: players expected, the starting stack composition, one stack drawn, and what to lay out
What to lay out for the field, and whether the case holds enough.

Structure generator

The structure generator: hours, entries, level length, stack, chips, breaks and antes, with the generated structure
Say how long the night should run; the blinds follow.

Mystery bounty

Mystery bounty: the pool, how many envelopes, minimum and maximum, three suggestions and the chosen envelopes
The envelopes: three suggestions that each add up to the pool exactly.
  1. Bounty pool: tonight's bounty money (filled in when the tournament has a bounty).
  2. How many envelopes: 1/3 of the field, the Last two tables, the Final table, or any number of players; tick whether the winner gets their own envelope too.
  3. Minimum and Maximum bounty, and the step to round to.
  4. SUGGEST: Smooth (one jackpot, then a gentle slope), Levels, few big ones and Levels, more big ones. Each adds up to the pool exactly, or says what stays over. USE THIS ONE, then adjust the envelopes by hand if you like.
  5. SHOW ON DISPLAY puts the envelopes on the TV (up to twelve lines).

Nothing is booked: the envelopes are filled by hand, and their money stays outside the prize pool.

Money report

The books of a period, tournaments and cash together, with CSV for the accountant: see Summary › Money report.

TDA Rules

TDA Rules: searching for clock, a rule opened with its full text
The whole Poker TDA rulebook, searchable, and onto the screens in one click.

Library

The Library: tournament setups, events, blind structures, payout models and screen looks
Everything the club keeps to use again.

The library is in the backup, so it moves with the club. Files come in and go out on the tournament PC.

Move & restore

Move and restore: where FeltTD keeps everything, what to do after a failure, moving to another computer
Where everything is, and how to bring it back.

Do a restore between nights. Every file it replaces is put aside in a restore-aside folder, never deleted, and the backup folder itself is never changed. The sound and video library is not in the backup: copy that folder by hand.

System maintenance

System maintenance: reload all screens, shutdown server
For the machine itself.
